Instead of suing everyone, kodak needs to get on this retro kick and start selling kodachrome camera's and film again for cheap. Stop using digital, start developing.

Frankly Apple should just commit to Thunderbolt and put those ports right on there. There is really no need for any other port. The main reason Apple sticks with the 30pin Dock Connector is size. Thin wise. Displayport is much too thick. One of the reasons they bailed on firewire on the First Gen iPod was the size. Micro USB is probably the thinnest connector out there I would imagine, but does that allow data syncing and at speeds faster than USB 2.0 ??? I don't know. The dock connector must allow for more flexibility on Apple's part I would imagine.

Yep, works great. Tip, if you want to copy the color (as the hex value), hit Command-Shift-C. Just tried it with the red in the MacRumors logo above, returned #AA1416. Very simple.

I would imagine that the 3DSi would have better cameras, and a front-facing 3D camera - imagine Skype in 3D... :D

A car that gets 60 mpg will do just as much 'damage' to a road surface as a car that get 8 mpg....but the 50mpg car will pay much, MUCH less for upkeep of that road than the other in a gas-tax based situation.
so a prius does the same amount of damage to a road as full size RV?

If you are capable of understanding German:
www.mactechnews.de is reporting "live";) :)
i briefly read the page and it really didn't say much
although it did mention ilife integration, 1.5 aperture, new plug-ins...
nothing special

Good luck to that kid. He'll need it seeing Apple's recent track record with cases like this.

...I'm effed.
Well, if what you say to him works, you might actually be "effed", but sadly you won't remember it. Then you'll really wonder about the looks he gives you. :D

I've heard that the older Arcade and Pro models are no long in production.
The older models are no longer being made, that is correct.
What is going to happen once they're no longer in stock?
My guess, as I stated earlier...
...Then next year, after the launch of Kinect has settled in, and the older models are pretty well phased out, they could introduce a wider range of models.

This gave me the idea of a combined AppleCare plan. Since Apple is pitching their mobile computing products in three major categories: iPhone, iPad, and MacBook - it would be really cool to offer a combined AC plan for two or all three categories.
Like I have a iPhone and a MacBook - wouldn't it be neat to be able to buy a hybrid plan that would be about $20 to $30 cheaper than buying them individually?

My white iPhone 4 is definitely thicker than my wife's black iPhone 4.
See how I said "my white iPhone 4" as opposed to "the white iPhone 4"?
With that I showed a lot more professionalism than all these "experts" with their fancy measuring tools making conclusions about ALL phones based on the ONE they happen to have. The tool they all lack is the ability to draw logical conclusions.

here are two:
http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/xml_dropdown_menu.htm
and
http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/dropdownmenu.htm
you will get more help and more tutorials on a flash specific board... check out kirupa's forums and also http://studiowhiz.com 's forums. both are pretty great. also, flash has the best built in help system of any application i have ever experienced, so you may not even have to hit the boards or external tutorials.

Devil's Advocate:
I bought a Netbook Holiday Special ($199 normally $399 with ATI chip and graphics and Win 7 Home Premium) from the MS Store last Dec.
MS took off the manufacturer's build (with tons of bloat-ware) and put their own on. It included a lot MS of extras (photo, video editing, music editor - sounding familiar?) and their premium Anti-Virus with lifetime subscription.
When it booted, it only asked for my username and the type of network to connect to (again - familiar? LOL)
I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever...
Just food for thought...
A lot of people on this board forget that Windows is the OS leader for a reason...

This was the funniest thing I've read all week.
I've been in insurance training, and in addition to financial people, there's been some, uh, "Desparate Housewives" getting their insurance licenses, and I'm picturing them passing around a poor phone and a bedazzler during class now.

I doubt a software update can magically change your crappy Intel 950 in to a worthwhile GPU.
Of course not. But it could allow multi-core support in OpenGL, which would be dandy and, yes, would affect performance even on integrated graphics systems.
