Ranga just finished his MBA degree from a top-10 U.S. university and is currently working on his Optional Practical Training (OPT) visa that comes as part of his student visa “package” and which allows him to work in the U.S for a year after graduation. In the past, OPT students would then pursue a longer-lasting H1-B visa and then move on to pursue legal permanent residence (LPR) through an immigrant visa or “Green Card”. No such plans in Ranga’s ambitious future. With a 3.9 GPA an outstanding resume, top industry contacts and patents in his name, Ranga plans to go back to his native Bangalore and start his own company “where the real opportunities are”. Ranga makes his point verbatim “When you have to be treated like a criminal just for applying for a driver’s license and have to wait for a decade to get a visa, there is something funtamentally wrong with this syetm, and I don’t have the time or desire to wait and find out what that is”
Ranga’s employer doesn’t know yet that he’s leaving the U.S. next year, and they have made him a substantial permanent offer, which Ranga is just not interested in.

IF I port to self employment will things be any better?
That way I can be a consultant and work in my field. I can generate enough work. Also, how would USCIS exactly know what kind of work a person is doing?

You can extend your h1 by 1 year, if you labor has been pending more than 1 year. 3 year extension is allowed when you have the approved I-140.
If your labor is pending 180 days you can apply for a 1 year visa extension. If you get your I-140 approved under premium processing after your labor approval and before you visa expires you can apply for a 3 year visa extension. You can apply for any other new visa L, J, F etc., and continue to stay inside the country but not H visa otherwise you have to be outside the country for 1 year.

Companies can pay employees expenses when they ask the employee to work in different place and employee has to travel. As long as that expense doesn't show up in your pay stub you are good.
I am working on H1B. Recently what has happened that my family lives in state A, and I am working in state B. My family could not move to state B because my sone is going to school. I have to pay alot of expenses to go back and fort from state B to A, like air ticket and cab ect. I talking to my compnay regarding this and they said that whatever are my expenses submit to every month end and he will send a check for those expenses which will be pre taxed amount. i.e. if my pre taxed salary is $ 5000 per-month , if I submit expense statemet for $500. Then my employer will send a check of 500 and paystub i.e. direct deposit after applying tax on $4500.
I am not sure whatever he is suggesting is good tyhing to do and it will not have any problem for me.

Why dont you consult Prashanthi Reddy who is one of the Attorney's that answers IV Conference calls. Her consultation seems to be quite reasonable to my knowledge. ofcourse check with her anyway the consultation price. Also check with Shusterman, etc.

What happens if your I-485 is denied? Are you able to fix any issues or do you start all over? And on what grounds would they deny?
Most common grounds for I-485 denial are:
1) I-140 denial
2) Being out of status
3) Fraud
4) Not responding to an RFE in a timely manner
5) Unknowingly abandoning your application.

The bigger problem is that your parents visa has already been rejected twice and that would be in their database. And that was when your parents were working. Now they are also retired which also adds another complication since the visa officers look to see if the people who a asking for a visitors visa have anything left in India to come back to ( like real estate , good bank balances , jobs , family etc )
I don't think it matters much if you are sponsering them or they are paying for it themselves.. its the twice visa denial in past that might be the key.
