Renew the passport through expedited processing if available, then take an infopass appointment and tell the officer that you had an interview and that he didn't get the stamp because his passport had expired, but now it's renewed.
I think they'll do it on the spot.

I doubt very much that one could find any worthwhile criticism of the works of Janet, Gary & Anders............(and a lot of others here)
And if one tires of birds, flowers, etc. then someone should offer to share a branch with this guy:

Others, please correct me if I am wrong.
I think you need labor from current employer and an I140.
You can not port your PD to a different employer based on just an existing labor.
You can do a H1 transfer for the remaining duration of your H1 and maybe add any time you were not in US in the past years while on H1.
If you have the I140 ( should get in a few days in premium processing) then you can get your new employer to start a new green card process but carry your PD from your earlier employer.
Most importantly talk to a lawyer rather than depending on people here.
Good luck.

Employer A:
-Currently on their H1 (6th year fag end) and with an ongoing 485 proces 180 days passed.
-Employer A is threatening to withdraw the I 140 if I move out from their company.
Employer B:
-Fortune Client where am currently working as a contractor
-B is filing my H1 and would be offering me to use H1 or AC 21 to port to their company.
I am transferring to company B upon H1 extension approval and then later use AC 21 when ever required.
However, before I use AC 21, if the I 140 is revoked, am I still eligible to use AC 21?
Does revoking I 140 by the employer after I 140 approval has any effect if I dont use AC 21 prior to revoking?
Past 180 days, I-140 revocation does not create any problems. Even if you get H1 transferred, you can still get EAD renewed. Make sure new job has job duties 'same/similar' (soc codes matches)

"08/05/2010: Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama Introduces S. 3702 to Grant Adjustment of Status to Certain Long Time Conditional Residents
* Senator Sessions rarely introduces pro-immigration bills because of his ultra-conservative staance. Yesterday, he introduced this in the Senate. The text is yet to be made available and we are curious of text of this bill. Please stay tuned. Hmm................. "
- The OH LAW
tried calling Senator's office to find out what S.3702 was all about... they didnt seem
to have any info any on this particular bill....although they think vote will happen
after August recess (Information on Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama (http://www.contactingthecongress.org/cgi-bin/newmemberbio.cgi?lang=&member=ALJR&site=ctc))...
not sure if this should bear any relation to Eb2/Eb3, etc....

Thanks bkshres.
When last time we entered in USA in Feb 2009, We used our H1/H4 visa to enter even if we had our AP in hand. So Her I-94 will show H4 stamping.
Will that make her ineligible for Applying for FAFSA?
Thanks

I would like to send emails to my friends about IV and the cause IV stands for. I know a lot of people who are stuck by retrogession. Is there a standard template to invite friends to join, volunteer and contribute that we can include as a link in this website please?

Armed with that information you can make the following decisions:
a. I need to blur that background so I need a wide aperture, better switch to aperture priority and crank it up.
Roger
b. humans need catchlights in their eyes so i better use some fill flash (you do have your flash mounted all the time right? lol)
All I have so far is the mounted flash that came with the camera (Canon Digital Rebel)
c. hmmm even though she's got a heart of gold and a great smile she gets rather stern looking when i stick this big camera in her face so I have a choice. I can hang out and get a couple of candids when her guard is down, or I can talk to her and get her feeling comfortable about what i'm doing and how she looks.
Actually, at the time, it wasn't in her face. I was down on the field and used a zoom lens at about a 250-ish focal length
d. these dang digital slr's are sooooo unforgiving to these poor ladies that i'll bump up my exposure compensation +1/3 to +2/3 to give her a brighter, "cleaner" look.
I've found that the Canon Digital Rebel tends to go dark, so I'm already shooting at about a +1, but then again, I've only had it for about two weeks now.
e. ok now remember to get the focus point on those eyes and get the eyes above the centerline.
I know it sounds like a lot but with practice and taking lots of pictures and participating in places like dphoto you'll be able to do that kind of drill in the blink of an eye. You will only "need" photoshop for refinement and creative ideas and not need to "fix" photos. You've got good gear and a good attitude and the world is filled with subjects so you're on the right track to success. later, kevin
Thanks a lot for your post! Lots of good info!
