I am from India and I am getting ready to file my 485 in 1st week of July. I have an approved 140.
I have two issues I am not sure about how to procced --
1. My wife's name is wrong in her birth certificate. also, my mother's name is not present in my birth certificate. I am getting both of our parents to execute affidavits. looks like they will make us wait till 17th and accept/reject case from July 2nd...and most of the rejected cases might not be eligible to refile :mad:...this is my guess!

you may not get much ifnormation from Infopass - you can go for infopass for issues like FP or Name check status or similar things.
Well Don't don't assume that "pre adjudicated" means everything with the case is over and the ONLY factor is visa number unavailability.
Pre adjudicated means - things are fine as of now.
not being cynical but pre adjudicated , in my opinion , really means its preadjudicated only at the time it was preadjudicated:D..esp with all hte goof ups happening these days

If I get my 3yr H1 extn approved (before 140 cancellation) with company B and company A revokes my approved 140, is it possible to transfer my priority date(of the approved 140 ..which is now revoked by company A) to my new 140 filed by company B?

A priority date can only be recaptured from one approved I-140 to another approved I-140, regardless of whether an I-485 was filed or not.
Please check with your attorney.

Yes, it is worth it if you're PD is current. I got my approval in less than 15 days and to think there even wan request for evidence. Everything was expedited. So am now filing my 485. But for those whose PD is not current, it does not make sense to pay extra for premium processing.

I'm in my 7th and my H1B is expiring this June. My new employer filed for a three year extension using my approved 140 copy.
I-140 can be used to reclaim the old priority date.

search forums here, people haven't gotten their FP renewal notices even after requesting number of times to USCIS. Request from congress member compels uscis to move their butt.
Congressman for FP, you may want to contact USCIS first. They may not expedite your I-485 but they are good in sending these things...

According to my study , and talk with some lawyers .. Yes it could be same.
But if the Job description is same (not more than 50% different) , then u cannot use the experienced gained in the previous job with the same employer.
Eg .
You had 7 years of experience , and u worked as a software engineer (which required BS + 3 years of exp in c), and Ur company filed Ur GC in eb3.
Now u get promoted to Senior Software Engineer (which required BS + 6 years of exp in c),Now if u had 6 years of exp in c before joining this company in the previous job. you should be eligible to file in EB2 based on Ur previous work ex.
Talk to Ur attorney about the points i mentioned.

SKIL Bill will resolve lot of our issues. There are lot of people supporting this BILL. And, many Big companies are behind this BILL. Still, this Bill is stuck in the congress for many months. Why ? What is happening with this Bill ? We don't know the future of this Bill ? It is in a Black box now !
