I am speaking from experience. Download the forms needed for filing 485, EAD and AP. Then when your attorney send you his/her set ( normally they do this in 2 stages - one they will send you a draft copy to verify and correct all info - some have online questionnaire; stage two - they send the final forms for you to verify and sign again - this they may do paper copy or online PDF - that cannot be edited - not fill able forms).
So, here I am providing links to all forms that I know are needed. These from uscis.gov site are fill able. Weekend is coming. Fill them, and print and keep them.

This is weird. I thought a lot of people have got EAD but did not get AP. Of course some people have got both. Can anyone shed some light on how they approve AP? In what order? I believe quite some people have travel plan during the coming months.
Is this something to be concerned about, getting AP before EAD , both are of course 124 days since receipt date.

I have my own doubts about this matter, same as you. But doesn't your I-797 remains valid till its expiry date? Is there any such rule that if its un-used it will become void or should be cancelled after 6 months?
In another context, I was told by one of the attornies that when i am with company-A and say its I-797 is valid for 3 years. I work for A for 1 year. Leave A and join B and work there for 1 year. Then leave B and come back to A, then I don't need another I-797 application, i can reuse previously approved still valid I-797 with A.

As soon as you use EAD, your H1B status is voided. I have read that if you have worked less then 6 months on EAD then there are chances that you could get back on the same H1.
Now, once 6 months (180) days have passed, your unused H1 is supposed to get cancelled.
You may want to check with some good attorney though.

I have my I140 approved through a american company and my h1b is getting expired in june 09.
According to above wordings, I can get a visa to live and work indefinitely,based on my approved I140. I have never heard about it.
Might be some one can explain what is exactly means.

Having an approved I-140 does not mean you can 'indefinetely' work and live here automatically.
It is ONE of the steps to clear on the road to legal immigration.
Please consult your lawyer and he should direct you as to what to do next.......

Its a nice vision. But as people getting green card they would
leave here..Any organization needs money to survive...Who
will donate it? But I agree that we need an organization
to represent ourselves.
Certain things we could address after GC Retrogression is
undercontrol ( if ever happens)
1. Address FBI name check issue..
2. Bring back VISA revalidation inside USA so that we
dont have to make a trip to US embassy..
3. Work for getting Social Security money back if we returns to home country.
....etc etc........
As time pass by old issues may be solved, but new issues will
surface.....
So I'll support an organization for sure!

I want to address this to everyone. Any organization needs a clear and precise Vision statement. Majority of the senior member complain that the people with green card and citizenship do not support immigration voice; then the question becomes what is our vision. If we confine ourselves to the benefit that we all should get green card, then what is the need for someone who has already got a green card to visit this web site. Humans are need based animals, whether you like it or not tomorrow if I get my Green Card (A big IF) it is very much likely that my visit to this website will be minimized. My priorities will be different. So core group should get a better vision statement which might address all immigrants.
The reason I came to immigration voice is slightly different, because I am still not convinced enough to accept that core group could do something which will make our law makers� act different. I support immigration voice on a bigger picture, it unites all immigrants together, and the website provides me support to all my immigration need. For example, I can search the website and find information regarding visa stamping, H1 quota and what my fellow countrymen think about it. So my sincere advice to the core group is to create a vision statement which is much bigger than the green card issue and which will make sure all immigrant no matter with green card or not will visit our website. Make the vision statement visible in the website. You have much better exposure through this. I have to agree, I am writing this out of frustration :D , but to be honest, do not treat this website for green card retrogression alone, treat it as something bigger, which will address all immigrant needs.

With a bachelors degree and 10 years of experience (ignoring the CA Certification/License), I do not see why you would not qualify for EB2. To qualify for EB-2 it is not always a necessity to have a masters degree.
Generally, if you have a bachelor degree and at least 5 years of experience, and as long as your future job/position for what your Labor Certification will be filed requires either a Masters degree or a bachelor degree with 5 years of experience, will qualify you for EB2 category.
"Generally, a bachelor's degree plus five years experience with another employer could qualify for EB2, if described correctly under the current U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) interpretations for the EB2 classification."

I filed my LC on June 06. The Certification was denied on Feb 07, I filed an appeal right away, and I have not heard anything. I called the DOL so many time and they gave me the same response: "Your case is in process, we work on first in, first out, and we do not expedited cases, we don't have a frame time" That is not a concrete answer.
There is any body that faced a similar situation, Please advised�. what to do!!!!

First let us get USCIS to process our applications strictly based on PD. Then we will have more people for the rally because new PD date members would be more motivated to participate in the grassroot effort

I applied for on a labor substitution in mid 2005 which was denied as the same labor was applied to other cases (thanks to the employer). That was fraud and no fault of ours. Many of the folks int he same boat then have obtained their GC.
I think I am the "Chosen One" for investigation :-)
Did you ever had problem in getting VISA or your case was sent for further review because of security reasons? I just want to understand if there were any abnormalities in your any visa approval(s).

However, the PRIORITY DATE cell in receipts for both 485 & 765 is BLANK. Is this the usual practice? Shouldn't my PD be populated on these receipt notices?

I've A# (9 digit.. 099xx for primary and 088xx for dependent)... PD is blank.. Guess most of people getting receipts in June/July had it blank... Don't know why...

Go online and file AR11 right away, by giving out your pending case numbers you can update the address. After an hour or so, call USCIS customer service and verify whether the address has updated or not; also ask them to resend the card to your new address. You will receive a address change confirmation letter at your new address.

It didn't ask for pending case#'s anywhere.
I tried calling customerservice but I get this message that CSR work only between 8-6 Mon-Fri and is asking me to call back later though I called at 10am.

My PD is also Mar 2005, EB2. And i am not going to get GC anytime sooner, unless we work on it. In my signature there is a link for MN group click on that and join state chapter. update your profile with phone number, so that we can contact you.

My suggestion would be to get in touch with your local DMV/auto insurance agent regarding the legal requirements for someone on visitors visa to drive in US.

Many senators particularly republicans did know that last Year CIR has no chance of getting thru the house, since it was election year they tested water and did a favourable thing mainly to gain latino's vote, However this year is different, Democrats controles house and senate, none of the republicans want to give credit of passing CIR to democrates, McCain backed off as he was running for President and siding on Iraq war is good enough for him to defend popularity contest.

Does it mean that the full case will be covered in 15 days or till the query is send if any... Hope i am being clear..
What my concern is after the query is send and replied, still the 15 day limit stays or it loses that and goes back to the normal processing.
