There shouldn't be any Payroll at all.
Ask them not to run payroll until you get approved EAD. Having Payroll might create issues in future.
As her manager is helpful, tell them she will not work until she gets EAD approval.

Hi Guys,
For those who applied for the EAD and it has already arrived (or those who have done the ead renewal b4), when does the new EAD/AP start from?
Say my EAD is expiring on Oct 1 and I apply on June 1 (lets assume every month is exactly 30 days for calculation convenience). Now say my EAD arrives on say Sep 1, then does it start from Sep 1 or does it start on the original Oct 1? I guess my question is, do we lose a few weeks each time we renew the EAD/AP?

You raise an excellent question--and one to which, at present there is no authoritative answer. The statute and regulations are silent on the issue and USCIS has not addressed it in any policy memo.
I would argue that because the purpose of AC21 is to protect protect foreign nationals (and the US employers who depend on them) from the uncertainty and disruption resulting from lengthy and unpredictable quota delays, denial of the I-485 should not result in revocation of an approved H-1 extension. This is especially true if a non-frivolous motion to reopen and reconsider the I-485 denial has been filed. I am not aware of any AC21 H-1 being revoked by USCIS based on an I-485 denial.
Moreover, an I-485 denial does not invalidate the underlying I-140 which would remain valid unless revoked for fraud or misrepresentation. For example, if the I-485 is denied because it was erroneously filed at a time when the PD was not current or because the medical indicated that the applicant had infectious, untreated tuberculosis, consular processing would still be an option.

I got the paperwork from my attorney for my wife's 485 as they want us to be ready so that if dates are current, we just mail the paperwork without having to start at that time.
However, my wife is pregnant and i am not sure if medical examinations are possible. What are my options ?
Complete medicals without the vaccines, etc which cannot be taken during pregnancy. The Civil surgeon shoould make a note on the medical report that the applicant is pregnant and so medical is incomplete.
When your 485 is picked up for processing, an RFE will be issued and then she can complete the rest.

I agree you might be better off filing a new I-485 if the visa number is available once the I-140 is approved. It is sometimes difficult to get the USCIS to do the interfiling, they often don't send any acknowledgment of the same.

My status - AOS, H1B expired, staying on EAD.
Ap is valid until the middle of November 2008.
I have to travel abroad end re-enter more than 2 times from now to the AP expiry date
..
USCIS sent me 2 exact copies of AP - is that mean that only one stamp per each re-entry implying that I may travel out of country only twice until AP exparation end re-enter twice only???
Or there allowed more than one stamp on AP paper - using one AP per multiple entries??

When it is three copies (Nebraska has been giving three), on first travel, one copy goes to airlines, the 2nd copy goes to POE and 3rd copy remains with AP holder (the 3rd copy must be stamped at POE). On subsequent travels give a photocopy (of 3rd) to airlines, ask POE to make a copy (of 3rd) for themselves and keep 3rd (after getting subsequents stamp).

1) You CAN use the AP that is approved while you are out. However someone needs to courier the document to you before you can enter with it. I am doing the same thing with my Law Firm. You do not need the AP in hand to leave the US.

The indian consulate needs a proof of address for me and my wife
We sent them the Property tax bill and hoped that it would work but get this mail from travisa

Photocopy of state issued ID (Driver License or ID), or major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, Sewage) or a copy of a lease containing both the landlord and tenant signatures must be submitted. The following items are not accepted: cell phone bill, credit card statement or bank statement. The address cannot include a P.O. box. For minors, a parent or guardian proof of address from both parents may be submitted instead. You can fax the proof of address to Fax: (415) 644-0158. In addition, you also have the option of mailing a paper copy to the address below.
Now why does not a property tax not work ? it is issues by the county.
We do not have the current address on my wife's driver's license and her name is not there on the PGandE bill

The education evaluation was done from ITES inc., I have got this for applying H1B in Apr 2005, which includes my prior experience. We have used the same education evaluation for I-140 in Aug'07. Since the experience was combined in my education evaluation, CIS is now asking for a new evaluation based solely on education.
If you cld submit an eval just for education, you shld be ok
