the best thing he could do is get married ASAP may be tomorrow and file I 485 for him and his wife together otherwise he will be in very bad situation. If in OCt his PD is current he will get stuck as he can not sponsor wife for a long time. and if there is severe retrogession than he will not be able to bring his wife to US unless hisnon-immigrant visa is still valid( still his wife would be in danger of being out of status)....So act NOW

Unless your parents have SSN, you can't really claim exemption. .
This is not true.
I have claimed my parents as dependents when they visited me a year ago for about 5 months.
When you submit your tax returns to IRS, at that time they apply for ITIN (if they don't have one) for the parents. That what I did....however, I went thru a CPA.

check with your lawyer. you should be able to ue the same labor unless the laws have changed. It is my understanding that if you file an MTR right away you get to retain your LABOR CERTIFICATION and that then allows you to file another I140 under EB3

I read somewhere that if you can provide a letter from the company stating that you are on an extended maternity leave and also that company has no problems with that, you maintain your status even though you are not getting paid.

Why is VSC processing so slow..anybody in the same shoes waiting for processing from Vermont. There was a time a normal H1 processing was done in 2 months. Now I've heard it is taking upto 8 months...oh god!

Mike Huckabee is fast emerging as the leading Republican Presidential Candidate, and has a commanding lead in Iowa.
While all other leading Repub contenders: McCain, Guiliani, Romney and Thompson, have expressed support for strengthening and increasing high skilled immigration, not much was known about Huckabee as he was in State Government previously.

In Labor certificate minimum education requirement is Master's
My I-140 is denied because of 3 years Bachelors degree.
I have 3 yrs bachelors + 2 years Masters + 4 yrs work exp.
Received RFE on 15th June 2009.
We submitted 2 education evaluations on Sept 3rd 2009, which says my Master�s degree is equivalent to US Masters Degree.
Received denial notice on 28th Sept 2009.
After denial, Lawyer is planning to file appeal with federal court.
Does anyone have the same issue?
I read about a company called Career Consulting International (CCI)on internet, it seems they can prove my 3 yrs bachelors degree is equivalent to 4 yrs US Bachelors degree.
To proof this CCI is charging a huge amount.
Does anyone have any info about CCI?
Please advice.

Insurance did not pay for mine and my wife however my employer reimbursed me.
