I received my card production ordered email today. All thanks God for making all this possible. I came to the US in Jan 1995 on F1 to begin my undergrad, switched to H1 in 1998, had a GC PD of 2002, and now 14 years and a countless visa's later, I was greened today.
I would not have made it through this journey without the expert advice on this forum to all the questions I asked - and just seeing everyone's contributions whether +ve or -ve to remind me that I am not in this thing alone.
For those that are still on the journey - just hang in there and your time surely will come!

no idea..I am yet to transfer my license to OK. one bad experience that I had lately..I walked into IRS office to check on ITIN/SSN issue and I was not allowed to go inside. They said if I lived in OK I need to have an OK ID. No other state ID would be accepted. This is if you have moved here for more than 30 days.

You can file until Aug 16 .However from July 30 , you have to pay new feess..Better apply before July 30 and contribute to IV
After July 30th, you have to pay the higher fee, but you will get free AP/EADs for the entire duration until adjudication.
So, it's up to you (and whoever is paying for ur EADs).. you can decide appropriately.

You can see many denials for 3 year degree people in various forums including IV.
I have one copy of the denial of my friend in hand. (AAO appeal in progress) It is 3+1+2=6, still they denied for EB2.

You have not still answered my question for official source or link for your claim. I don't care how third party evaluator evaluates. I have seen so many varying evaluations done.
By theoritical no problem, if you have credits equal to US bachelors and masters degrees.....
Also, your calculation 3+1+2=6 is incorrect. Since this is BSc+BEd+MSc. For MSc, BEd is not needed and therefore you can't add time spent for BEd. Just like two BSc degrees do not make it equivalent to MSc.
If this one year program is not BEd, but "post graduate" diploma, still it is not going to work, since that "diploma" is not required for MSc.

Come on folks - all the way to Riverhead we have tonnes of people living in these areas affected by Retrogression.
EAD is not a solution - EAD just makes our life a bit easier than on h1b - the struggle continues even on EAD.
How can you expect govt to fix your problem if you lack motivation?
Lets start mobilizing the chapter
Remember, we are no VIPs, we are in a mass distribution system and no one has special previlidges here, your lives won't change uless you motivate yourselves and speak up for yourselves.
We need a very strong resprsentation from everyone in the community.

My lawyer had applied on August 25th for the LCA. We got to know on September 3rd that there was an issue with the FEIN. We emailed the required documents to DOL on September 4th.
My H1 expires on September 30th and consequently my I94 on October 10th, so i'm a bit concerened.
I will post an update when I hear something from DOL.
Just want to confirm that I have till October 10th to get my petition to USCIS. Anyone?
Also, do i have to leave the country by October 10th if I can't get the LCA issue fixed/ petition mailed?

I am scheduled to close my refinancing (changing from conventional to FHA). Quicken Loan processed my loan - of course their charges are a lot more than others. The point is, I did not face any objections so far due to EAD status. Of course they asked my EAD copy a few times. Hope this helps!

My online status changed from approval sent to pending. Did you any further update?
My attorney received an email notice of I-140 approval (PP) on Mon, June 25. But the online case status showed the application as pending. Finally,today my attorney called and was told that due to "system glitch ", approval notices were sent out in error!! It seems this has done to others too!!
Did anyone else encounter this?

Thanks for responding. What happens when we get a RFE or NOID. Could we respond by ourself then? My case is not complicated at all. As straight forward as it could get.
I am going to search in this forum for sample covering letter. But if anybody has the info handy please let me know.

RFE and NOID come with a color sheet of paper with your details and some USCIS internal codes for your case. You can respond by yourself and put the sheet on top - this is for the mailroom to handle your case

I was trying to get online tickets for my parents to come from Chennai to SFO.
..I was planning to pay from here using my credit card...but guess that might not work( see text in italics below from the airline website) , My parent have an icici debit card but that one has a limit from icici for 50,000 Rs or 75,000 Rs or so, the tickets are totally 1 lakh + so trying to figure out what might be the options....
Have the physical credit card originally used for the purchase presented by the cardholder for verification at check-in, OR on collecting the tickets, OR at the nearest Cathay Pacific Ticketing Office prior to the flight departure. The cardholder does not need to book and travel. If a transaction is successfully made with "Verified by Visa", or "MasterCard� SecureCode�", the cardholder will not be required to present the physical card used for verification.
I understand that if the cardholder fails to present the physical card originally used for booking transaction, the carrier reserves the right to -
Deny boarding, or
Collect a guarantee payment (in cash or from a new credit card).
Anyone been able to book from here for tickets starting from India ?

I called customer service, they guided me to change the country to USA which showed the price in US dollars. I then paid it with my credit card. Had no other issues...

Do you know anyone in H1B since 1999 and without an EAD option? I suppose waiting 14 years is very different than waiting 5 years..
Yes, it is different and its unfortunate in your case. However, there is nothing you can do other than wait for your date to be current in order for you to apply for I-485 and EAD/AP.

Upgrading to Premium is actually an upgrade of existing case. It is NOT a new application. You have to pay the premium processing fees though. It feels like being back home, asking to push the file up. You know what I am trying to say.

Really makes me feel awful when I come across someone who is waiting since 2001 for labor.. This system is seriously broken.. I myself had to wait for over three years to get my labor, and I know how frustrating it is.. I have two friends with priority date older than mine, and they are still stuck in labor. Very depressing. I wish and hope the *&$%!*#@ at Philly and Dallas get their act together and there is a flurry of labor approvals in the next few weeks..
i doubt they would do that give that they are anticipating more appps now in july thru august...we cant win in everyhitng, can we? sad!! now next few months we will be desperately be wating for each bulleting every month...now hte the PD's rule!!!!!!!!

I'm from Bangladesh and EB3. As you know the I485 was current in July and i applied along with my EAD and AP. but this month in visa bulletin i found that the date went back to 2002. What is the way it suppose to be?
My question is: are they going to consider my application current or i stuck in the backlog. my understanding is that the visa bulletin reflects the availibility to send the application....they received my application on July 2nd, 2007.
